The Destruction Quest is Quest number 7, and consists of 5 maps. The quest is given to you personally, by King Gregor himself. He explains that the [[Orb of Destruction]], a powerful relic taken from the slain Great Dragon by his sons Elmore and Belisar, was stolen from the vineyard of the priest Esaias, where it was kept for safekeeping. As the orb may be capable of leveling the entire kingdom, he requests you to get it back.

Again you have been summoned to King Gregor's Castle. Upon entering the main chamber, you see several priests talking to the king.

"I believe it has been taken to the north into the elven territory," says one.

Another says, "No, it can't be there. The elves would never have taken the item. Our criminal is of a higher form. A much more evil power must have it."

Upon seeing you enter, King Gregor immediately dismisses his subjects. Once the priests have filed out of the large hall, Gregor speaks, "We have called you with an urgent request for help. You have helpped us in the past and we must again request your expertise."

"What exactly is the problem," you ask.

Pushing back the crown that hangs over the King's eyes, Gregor speaks with a serious tone that makes your bones rattle, "As you probably already know, my son Belisar slew the Great Dragon with the aid of his brother Elmore. Once victory was reached, they reviewed the guarded area and found a small orb. Although what happened next is hard to say, the priests tell me that the orb tainted my sons by the power it contained. My sons returned not as heroic warriors but as defeated souls.

"Unbeknownst to them, they killed the consort of Draco Melekarche -- the father of all dragonhood. He himself had constructed the orb and had his 'wife' keep it for him. Although the exact nature of the orb is unknown, enough can be said that it corrupts or kills anyone who touches it. My priests believe that the orb was made for destruction and upon the right incantations can cause a massive explosion that would level the strongest of castles -- perhaps even the whole kingdom. Thus it was labeled the Orb of Destruction. Naturally, the item could not stay here.

"Hearing my problem, Esaias, one of the kingdom's finiest priests of the region, requested to keep it at his vineyard temple out of harm's way. If any person could tame its powers, Esaias could do it. For years, the device has been hidden from sight and Esaias has said nothing about it. We have not feared the item, until now."

The king shifts his weight, "The court has recently received word that Esaias has been murdered and the Orb of Destruction is gone. We are not sure who is the thief, but we must have the orb back before it is used against the kingdom. I suspect you can start at Esaias' vineyard for more clues. We have no other information."
